Enables PoDM and PoDM+ sourcing capability for up to three DMB-4K-I-C or DMB-4K-O-C DM 8G+® I/O blades, or up to three DMPS3-4K-200-C or DMPS3-4K-300-C DigitalMedia™ Presentation Systems.
The DM-PSU-3X8-RPS is an optional accessory for Crestron® 8-Channel DM 8G+® Input and Output Blades (models DMB-4K-I-C & DMB-4K-O-C) and certain 3-Series® 4K DigitalMedia™ Presentation Systems (models DMPS3-4K-200-C & DMPS3-4K-300-C). It is a rack-mountable power supply that enables PoDM (Power over DigitalMedia) and PoDM+ sourcing capability for up to three blades or DMPS3 units.
Used with DM 8G+ blades, the DM-PSU-3X8-PWS enables full PoDM and PoDM+ sourcing through all eight DM 8G+ ports on all three blades simultaneously. Used with DMPS3, it enables PoDM and PoDM+ sourcing through every DM 8G+ Input and Output port, and enables PoE sourcing through the Control Subnet port. The DM-PSU-3X8-PWS maximizes efficiency by intelligently and continuously negotiating the power required by each port.
To ensure continuous reliable operation for mission critical applications, the DM-PSU-3X8-RPS features a modular hot-swappable redundant power supply design. A total of three power supply modules are employed, and in the unlikely event of an individual module error, the complete unit will continue to operate at full capacity with the remaining two modules working. The failed module can be easily replaced in seconds from the rear panel without shutting down the entire unit or removing it from the equipment rack. Front and rear panel LEDs provide clear indication of any errors. Status can also be monitored remotely through a control system connected to the DM® switcher in which the dependent I/O blades reside. Instant notification of an error can be sent from the control system to a system touch screen, mobile device, email client, or Crestron Fusion® Cloud.
The DM-PSU-3X8-RPS ships complete with three hot-swappable power supply modules installed, plus three 8 ft (2.4 m) interconnect cables and three AC line power cables. Optional 20 ft (6.1 m) interconnect cables are available separately.
